As many of you already know, Tuesday’s is a unique mini institution in downtown Hartford that was established in 1970. The hallmark of the success of this store has been the ability to manage fashion change over many years and lead our clients into apparel on an individual level that is always appropriate for their unique needs. It is this working with each and every customer from so many different backgrounds that makes us different . Tuesday’s has always been more of an inclusive store than an exclusive store.

Recent years have seen dramatic growth in our business. We need more space to continue this growth rate. Cindy Lemery who owns Stackpole Moore Tryon has offered us a unique opportunity to purchase her business. On November 23, we will merge the two stores together at the Stackpole, Moore, Tryon space in downtown Hartford and create the largest men’s and women’s specialty clothing store in central Connecticut.

The Stackpole store is actually 10 times the size of our current store. Imagine roomy dressing rooms for men and women actually separated for privacy. Imagine a stronger selection of both women’s and men’s apparel with that Tuesday’s point of view. Imagine seeing new and even more creative lines than we were able to carry before because of lack of space. Imagine Jody and Ronnie with enough support staff that we can give you even more personal individualized attention than before.

With 10,000 square feet, there is more than ample room to continue the 98 year legacy of Stackpole Moore Tryon, and enable us to stretch out our need for more space for Tuesday’s apparel. The Stackpole staff will remain in place as will their merchandising mix of both updated traditional men’s wear and women’s wear. We will be bringing our Tuesday’s staff and Tuesday’s merchandising point of view to this new location.

We will be conducting a “Moving Sale” at Tuesday’s on Asylum very soon. Look for a post card with the starting date. Everything in the store will be on sale!
